For Parking Lotus, security guards around Los Angeles were asked to meditate in the different parking lots where they work. The piece has two parts: a three-channel video-installation where three guards meditate in the lotus position and begin levitating until they disappear. And a series of eight photos, with the guards meditating cross-legged, which also includes the LASGMM (Los Angeles Security Guard Meditation Movement) manifesto.
Three projections or three flat screens.
Duration: 3:15 minutes, loop.
Series of 8 photographs and manifesto.
Dimensions of each print: 40 x 30 inches.
